Hello again! Hope everyone had a Happy Thanksgiving. We did… Lorey made an awesome turkey with all the rest of the usual go-withs, and we were quite impressed. We ended up staying in Vegas since family was going to be spread out a bit in Utah. It was nice to have a 70+ degree Thanksgiving, and seeing the family recently helped ease that load as well.
As far as the rest of November… it’s been nutty! We’ve been from one extreme to another, and we’re still trying to get everyone back to normal.
We started the month going to Utah. Lorey was up for Halloween with all the kids and Ryan and Sierra had a good time. I again have some pictures, but we’ll see if I get them today. Today’s the first “slow” day we’ve had in a while
. I then flew up to SLC to the Jazz/Rockets game (which was awesome, BTW) and then we all drove home together.
That next week, Sierra got really sick. It started out with a little sore throat and fever, and ended up being so bad she had blisters on her throat. They hurt her so much that she couldn’t eat or drink anything, and we actually had to take her in to get some IV fluids at the urgent care. She’s doing 100% better now (eating and drinking everything again), so we’re grateful for that.
The next week… it was the planned Disneyland trip. It was a great time mixed with some crazy events. It’s not easy dragging 20+ people around Disneyland and keeping everyone happy, but it worked out pretty well! Everyone had a good time (regardless of what they said…) and hopefully we can start some sort of Disneyland tradition.
That brings us up to this past week and Thanksgiving! It’s been a whirlwind running around from here to there, and we’re likely just hanging out here for the next little while. I’ll be watching the Jazz kick butt, Lorey already has Christmas set up in the house (the kids couldn’t wait), and the kids will be… kids, I’m sure.
Like I said, pictures maybe… I’m actually feeling a little motivated, so I might get rolling on it.
