This Old Vegas Family

Hi everybody.

I’m pretty bad at this whole website thing lately. My apologies.

We’re not that exciting, so you’re not missing all that much, but it’s still pretty weak to go a month without a blog entry. So… with that said, welcome back!

Things have been pretty laid back here for the last few weeks. We’re had some family in town (on both sides), made a trip to Utah, and have been enjoying the summertime weather.

The kids are doing great. Sierra’s learning to potty-train a little bit. She pretty much runs around naked, but knows enough when to go on her little mini-toilet when she has to go. We’ll see how she keeps progressing with that.

Ryan’s a great big brother. He’ll help his sister with anything and basically looks to take care of her (most of the time). He’s still big and getting bigger to make his sis look even smaller .

As far as us, we’re good. Lorey’s planning a Disneyland trip without me (but with some other friends) which should be a good time. I told her I have to prepare for the World Series, so I couldn’t go (okay, I have to work, but that sounds better).

What else…? We played an all-night softball tournament that started at 10:00p and we finally finished around 5:30ish in the morning. It was a long night, but we had a good time. We also play co-ed softball every Thursday together. It’s good to get out and get some exercise - especially when we can do it kidless.

I played baseball (for the first time in probably 8 months) about 6 hours after we played that softball tournament and needless to say, I’m a little (read lots) sore now. I pitched a couple of less than spectacular innings (no command, other team actually plays occasionally = bad results), but it’s good be on the mound. I finally got a curveball rolling the second inning, but by then we were getting beat up pretty good. My ERA for the year is looking like an NBA scoring average.
