It’s official.
This summer, I’ll be taking my shot at winning the World Series of Poker. I qualified in an online tournament on Saturday and earned a $10,000 seat at the Main Event of the WSOP starting the end of July.
It was a huge shock, and I am still stunned that I’ll be one of around 8,000 people taking a chance at the $10,000,000 first prize.
Along with the seat, Bodog.com is also throwing in travel/hotel expenses and a whole bunch of gear to wear for the tournament. They also give access to their VIP lounge and other perks. Should be a blast from the sounds of it!
So to quote ‘Rounders’:
[Mike Narrating] People insist on calling it luck.
First prize at the World Series of Poker is a million bucks.
Does it have my name on it? I don’t know.
But I’m gonna find out.
That’s about the way I’m looking at it. You never know what can happen, but you’ll never win unless you have a shot. In about 6 weeks, I get my first shot. Wish me luck!
