A month of recapping…

November 4th, 2005 · No Comments

It’s amazing to me that a month can go by so fast. It’s kinda scary, really…

As far as October went, it was a pretty busy one for us. We had multiple visitors in town, made a trip to Utah, and had a couple of Halloweens.

Let’s start with the kids… Ryan’s doing well. He’s not your typical 2-year old (which we’re fortunate to realize) and really likes to help out around the house. Of course, he likes to help make a mess as well, but he’s a big fan of emptying the dishwasher and entertaining his sister when she’s sad.

Speaking of Sierra… this kid will still not walk! But, she’ll stand up in the middle of the floor, walk with help, and she can drive her little sit on top car with her feet. If she could keep up with Ryan by walking, she would. It’s just easier/faster to crawl! She’s generally pretty happy with her occasional grumpy days (especially when hungry/tired). And when I say hungry, this kid can eat!

Lorey’s been busy doing more scrapbooking and learning how to buy scrapbooking stuff on eBay. A little scary, but she’s a pretty good bargain shopper, so I can’t complain too much.

I’ve been working and the usual stuff, so I’ll skip the yadda-yadda about me :)

As far as friends in town, we had the Welch’s a couple weeks ago. They brought their kids and their older kids got along really well with our younger kids. They all played together really well and neither set got bored due to age differences. Mark and I also made it to the Utah/UNLV game which was pretty fun. We sat in the Utah section and by halftime there were more Utah fans left than Rebel fans. Lorey and Jill went on a massage/pedicure run in the morning, so everyone had their cup of tea.

The week before that we had Lorey’s brother’s family (Chad, etc) down from Provo. They brought the kids and they had a really good time with the kids here. The kids went swimming, we made it out to dinner, and played outside on the grass.

We recently (last week) got back from Utah as well. We had a Halloween party at Great-Grandma Rominger’s, a birthday party for Grandpa Crane at Carrabba’s, and the kids were spoiled rotten.

When we got back, I worked in the morning so we could all go out for Halloween night. It was shocking to see all the kids in the neighborhood out for trick or treat. For a place that doesn’t seem to have a reputation for having much of a community, it sure did on Halloween. The majority of the houses were giving out treats, a bunch of adults were dressed up, and it looked like a block party!

That pretty much gets us back to speed… the pictures were up from the last little while - I’m pretty lazy still, so I’m using Shutterbug, but whatever works I suppose :) Since I finally put this editing program onto the laptop, I should be better at updates… should being the key word.

Until later!
