September recap…

September 24th, 2005 · No Comments

Looking back, it’s been a really long time since I’ve posted, but it only feels like days! This month has flown by, but we’ve had plenty to show for it.

August finished up without too much hooplah, so we skipped into September and off for a Labor Day vacation. We ended up going to Southern California to visit some relatives (sorry guys, old picture, but it works :) ), and stayed for a couple of days there. It was a blast to see everyone again… the kids had such a good time with their older cousins, and it was nice to hang and chat about life.

We then left the kids overnight on Labor Day as Lorey and I went to Disneyland by ourselves. For a couple of lazy bums, we sure tore apart Disneyland… we stayed until the park closed, and were busy right up until our shuttle dragged us back to the hotel. By the way, if you aren’t picky about which hotel to stay in, I definitely recommend Priceline.com. We’ve stayed in 3 great hotels for $50 or less per night everytime we’ve used it. Anyways… we met up with Jessica and Lisa on the campus of UCLA and reunited with the younguns. UCLA is amazing and although we just took a driving tour, you can see how prestigious and beautiful the school is. We then had lunch with Jessica and Jason and then relaxed in Anaheim with the kids.

With the Bleifers - our pics… more coming from other cameras :)

On to Wednesday and the kids’ turn at Disneyland! They had a blast. Although they weren’t up for all the rides, they went at the ones they liked with a vengeance. Ryan’s favorite ride was a Buzz Lightyear ride where you sit in a little car and shoot at aliens with a laser gun. It’s pretty enjoyable, even for adults :) .

We finally made it home on Thursday, and then it was back at work. Back to work for me, and back to work at home for Lorey and the kids. The week flew by again, and we were off to Utah.

More to come as I think Shutterfly may be a blog-saver. That’s pretty darn simple to use…
