This Old Vegas Family

Again, a long time… again, my apologies.

Been a very busy summer so far! We’ve been to Utah numerous times for numerous reasons, we’ve had company stay with us in Vegas, and we’ve just been having a good time. It’s been hotter than… well, ever, in Vegas, breaking records with the heat. Surprisingly, as hot as it was, it’s been worse this week with the humidity going up.

The family is doing well. Sierra got over a mini-cold and is now struggling with teeth coming in. Ryan’s doing great as well - Mommy said he helped calm his little sister today until Mommy could help her out. He loves his sister, and we’re very greatful! As for us, we’re about the same. We’re helping Lorey’s brother move into a new house which should be an adventure in its own. We also will have plenty more family in town this weekend to keep us occupied as usual.

On the up and coming… a possible trip to Disneyland, a separate trip to California for baseball games, dinner for our anniversary (hey, can’t leave out small miracles like getting a night out!), and who knows… likely more Utah trips.

Speaking of our anniversary, we did leave the kids overnight with Lorey’s Mom and had a great night alone. It’s pretty much the first time we’ve done that since Ryan was born (at least that we can remember!), so we’re especially thankful for that opportunity - something that should happen more and more often with the kids getting older.
