Hope everyone is having a great 4th of July weekend! Ours has been a little hectic, to say the least.
We ended up having to go to Utah for a funeral on Friday. On Tuesday, we lost our grandmother, Virginia Crane to a sudden heart attack. It turned out she was really sick (nobody knew, including Grandma), and passed very suddenly. Obviously, it was a big shock to the family, and we will miss her dearly.
So, after hustling to Utah for the third time in June, I’m back home to work while Lorey hangs with family in Springville. Things are H-O-T in Vegas as the computer currently says it’s 106 degrees. But, what can you expect in the desert in the heat of summer.
As for poker in Vegas, things have been pretty good. The World Series experience is amazing, although my satellite results were less than impressive (a 3rd, 4th, and 2 6th’s I believe while only top 2 pay). Luckily, I made everything back playing in the regular cash games.
So, I’ll continue cooking in Vegas, and I’m sure we’ll be back in Utah soon—hopefully on much better circumstances.

Mike, I’m so sorry to hear about your Grandma. I always remember seeing her at Allens, when my Mom and I would go get groceries. She was always really nice and friendly to us. That picture you have of her with the kids is so cute - that’ll be one you’ll be so grateful that you have!!
