I think it’s about time to post the first poker entry of the website. Since I’m a horrible picture putter-upper, the least I can do is jabber on about something of interest to me.
Labor Day weekend is the time for the Oasis Open poker tournament in Mesquite. This is small change from the stuff you see on TV, but should be a lot of fun. Garrett, Courtney, and I are planning on playing a few events, and who knows - it may be the just the jumpstart we need until World Series of Poker 2005 
Speaking of May 2005, I wonder if G & C will have the energy to play. ‘Nuff said.
But, back to cards… not sure if anyone but me has been watching the WSOP on ESPN (good stuff), but the winner of the final event coming up takes home $5 million! Not too shabby… give it a look if you haven’t already.
Alright, it’s late, so it must be time for bed. I promise (scout’s honor), I’ll be better with the site.
