We’re still awaiting the new arrivals of Sammie’s puppies… she’s due any time now (officially on Monday), and hopefully everything will turn out well. Luckily, our neighbor’s dog had puppies about a month and a half ago, so Lorey had some experience helping out with that.
Sammie’s expected to have 2 puppies - one of which will go to the “baby-daddy,” and the other… well, we think we might just inherit a grand-puppy of our own! We haven’t decided for sure, but we’re thinking of keeping another kid to give Sammie another playmate until Ryan is ready to terrorize her on his own. Hopefully we’ll get through without incident - we’ll keep you updated.
Speaking of updates - I’ve kind of been slacking again. Lorey was up in Utah for a week and I joined her this past weekend, so the camera was out of town which means pictures were limited. But, we did get some good footage out of the week/weekend past and I’ll have them up eventually. I’m taking a couple of vacation days off of work next week, so that’ll make things nice and give me some time around the house as we don’t have any plans to take any road trips… yet.
Other than that - things are going well. Ryan’s growing even more and starting to become pretty mobile even though he’s not crawling or scooting yet. He can definitely turn himself in circles and roll pretty well, so that combo gets him into even trouble (i.e. dog food/water spillage this evening). We’re still looking at houses and actually have the drawing to see if we’re getting a lot this Saturday. It’s a strange process where they release about 11 or 12 lots and have 45 people who can be picked to get a lot. Then, the chosen get to pick which lot they want in the order they were chosen. We’re still not 100% set on whether we’re going to go ahead with it even *if* we’re picked, but we’ll have to see how it goes.
Speaking of “weather,” it’s still beautiful here. Looks to be high-80s, low 90s ’til at least Monday, and it’s been awesome at night. Played softball last night at 8 and 9:00 pm and couldn’t have asked for better weather. But, I’m sure it’ll end sometime and we’ll be in the 60s soon.
I think that’s enough rambling for now. Hopefully I’ll get pictures up sooner than later, and we also want wish a Happy Birthday to Jack, the Crane family dog in Springville. He’s a big 1 year old on the 10th. Don’t forget, he loves squeaky toys (well, the squeaker, at least), and anything edible…
…until later - hopefully with additions to the family!
