Did anyone hear about the storms and subsequent floods that hit in Vegas yesterday? It was crazy.
Luckily for us, it was mainly on the northwest (Summerlin) side of town, but it sure rained hard here. We were having dinner and all of a sudden it started to pour. Obviously, the dry desert ground isn’t used to huge storms, so the rest of it sits in the road to take cars floating away. And, no matter how many infomercials and warnings they put out here (which are many), people are still dumb enough to challenge the giant puddles. I mean, I know everyone (me) loves puddles, but not the ones that engulf your car.
After a really windy and rainy night, things look pretty good right now. Here’s a nice view of the strip from the deck this morning.
While I’m at it… here’s a shot of the kid
Until later…

Who woulda thought keeping a life preserver in your car, while living in Vegas would turn out to be not such a bad idea.

I know - some of the news footage made me think these people were riding those bumper boats over at Trafalga
